Sitting on Jesus Shoulders
January 11, 2010I had a vision while in prayer. I saw Apostle Eric in a large ocean of water up to his neck and he was preaching. I thought to myself, “How can he preach like that, treading water?” And suddenly he surged up and forward and I could see that he really was not treading water, but sitting upon the massive shoulders of the Son of God! Jesus rose up out of the water like a huge giant, and as He rose so did Eric. Jesus’ hair was long and brown and He had a full beard. His robe was white; and as I looked upon Him I had the feeling that a massive power was rising.
Interpretation: The Bible says that the government sits upon Jesus’ shoulders (Is.9:6). This confirms Apostolic Governance and where God has placed Apostle Eric. Jesus is the government of God, but He has placed the earthy responsibility of it to a living steward who can direct the church according to the mind of God.
The waters represent the sea of humanity to which Apostle Eric was preaching. The fact that Jesus was under the water speaks of Him being hidden from view. When people hear Apostle Eric preaching they just see and hear a man, not realizing that he is sitting upon the shoulders of our Lord and the God is carrying Him.
When Jesus rose up out of the water and moved forward, I was reminded of the words that are now coming about the “mobilization” of the church, “acceleration”, and “coming forward”.
Praise God!
"God's tokens accompany His promise and therefore the righteous live in the power of God."
